  • Add your jewelry product photos

Go to Seller Central  — Inventory — and click ‘Add a product’ to begin uploading your jewelry product photos. Remember that there is no listing fee, so make sure to list all your products to meet your shoppers’ visual needs. Supply all the basic product information and once completed, you can come back and add up to 10 customization options if that’s something you offer.

When uploading product photos, you can add the main image and alternate images. Your main image should focus on your product; hence, it should not have any distracting props, watermarks, or text. Amazon requires you to use white or neutral backgrounds as any of these keep your shoppers’ attention to your product. Click here to find appropriate jewelry background ideas that would fit your needs.

On the other hand, you have more freedom when it comes to alternate images. These jewelry images should show the details of your jewelry, the scale, or the look of the finished product if it’s customized. Here are 7 essential product photo types you can use as your alternate images on your product page.

Finally, regardless of the background or types of product photos you use, ensure that it is of high quality as this will be your point to attract buyers. Poor product photos will not sell.

  • Select the correct product category

Choosing a product category is one of the most critical aspects of listing your items. Take time to select the right category and subcategory to avoid losing your potential shoppers.

  • Be as specific as possible when supplying your product information

Losing your shoppers is the last thing you’d want, so make sure that you get all the information they need once Amazon’s search algorithm drives them to your page. First, your title should straightforwardly match your main product image, and make it short. Unlike other e-commerce platforms, you don’t have to worry about squeezing in keywords in the title section. You’ll have a specific space for this.

Second, use the product description section strategically. You can write here about your item’s key features including the measurement details. Next, enter your price and the production time you need to complete the order. Your production time, which includes the customization process, should cover the time you received the order and when it’s ready for shipping.

  • Continue supplying additional product information

As soon as you’re done adding your product photos and its basic information, continue supplying additional product information to make them feel more confident about buying from you. This information may include your materials and the creative process involved. Also, don’t forget to choose the correct product attributes from the drop-down menu as this will help you become more searchable on Amazon.

Another information that you should never forget is your keywords for without this it would be difficult to find your product on Amazon. Be specific and use search terms that you think your target shoppers will use when typing in the search box. However, this must not deviate from the type of jewelry you’re selling. Don’t use keywords that misrepresent your products.

  • Hit publish

If you’re satisfied with all your supplied details, click save and publish to activate your listings. You can come back at any time should you wish to make any changes.

Congratulations, you’re now ready for your first sale!
